O Holy Night
05:24
|
|||
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining.
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new a glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh! Hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
Led by the light of stars serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
Thus, led by light of star so sweetly gleaming,
There came the wise men from the Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in holy manger.
In all our trials, born to be our Friend.
Fall on your knees! Oh! Hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
Truly He taught us all to love each other.
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Good will on earth with everyone a brother,
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful adoration;
Let all within us praise His holy name.
Fall on your knees! Oh! Hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born.
O night divine! O night, O night divine.

Silent Night
03:01
|
|||
Silent night, holy night; all is calm; all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace; sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight
Glory streams from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing allelujah
Christ the Savior is born; Christ the Savior is born.
Silent night, holy night, Son of God, Love’s pure light.
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace.
Jesus, Lord, at the Thy birth; Jesus, Lord, at They birth.
Silent night, holy night, Wondrous star, end thy light.
With the angels let us sing allelujah to our King
Christ, the Savior, is born; Christ, the Savior, is born.
Christ, the Savior, is born; Christ, the Savior, is born.

What Child Is This?
03:04
|
|||
What Child is this Who laid to rest on Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet while shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King, whom shepherds guard and angels sing.
Haste, haste to bring Him laud, the Babe, the Son of Mary.
Why lies He is such mean estate where ox and lamb are feeding?
Good Christians fear, for sinners here the silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, the cross be borne for me for you.
Hail, hail, the Word made flesh, the Babe, the Son of Mary.
So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh. Come peasant king to own Him.
The King of kings salvation brings. Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise a song on high. The virgin sings her lullaby.
Joy, joy, for Christ is born, the Babe, the Son of Mary.
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

The Holiest of Stories
02:20
|
|||
It was a clear and starry night. The world was, oh, so peaceful.
Then angels filled the sky with light. They sang to all the people.
“Have no fear,” they sang their song, “for we bring glad tidings.
Christ, the Lord, is born as promised in the sacred writings.”
Alleluia, Christ is born, hosanna in the Highest.
Up among the stars appeared a light of holy splendor,
Leading men from near and far to kneel in sweet surrender
At the Holy Baby’s manger, there to give Him homage.
Wrapt in joy to recognize fulfillment of God’s promise.
Alleluia, Christ is born, hosanna in the Highest.
Let all the earth rejoice this day, sing glory to the Father.
To all the world be peace among our sisters and our brothers
Glory, glory, sing we now a festival of glory.
Full of joy we celebrate the holiest of stories.
Full of joy we celebrate the holiest of stories.

Star of the East
03:52
|
|||
Star of the East, O heavenly star,
Shining so bright; how lovely you are!
Sorrow and grief eclipsed by your light
The hope of each mortal on this holy night!
Fearless and tranquil, we look up to see
Your shining beacon through eternity.
Help us to follow as you lead the way,
Walking your path each day.
Star of the East, O hope of the soul,
Drawing us near to God, this we know.
Show us the love and glory divine.
O Bethlehem star with promise you shine.
O star that leads to God above!
Whose rays are peace and joy and love!
Watch over us still from your home afar
Beam on, bright star, sweet Bethlehem star.
Star of the East, the night is so clear.
Over the manger you hover near.
Shining your light so all will know
Sent by the Father, the Son loves us so.
Star of the East, the heavens made bright
With the reflection of your great light.
Faithful and pure, your rays from above
Shine on the cradle with love.
Star of the East, thou hope of the soul,
Drawing us near to God, this we know.
Show us the love and glory divine.
O Bethlehem star with promise you shine.
O star that leads to God above!
Whose rays are peace and joy and love!
Watch over us still from your home afar
Beam on, bright star, sweet Bethlehem star.

It came upon the midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth,
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, goodwill to men,
From heaven's all-gracious King."
The world in solemn stillness lay,
To hear the angels sing.
Still through the cloven skies they come,
With peaceful wings unfurled,
And still their heavenly music floats
O'er all the weary world;
Above its sad and lowly plains,
They bend on hovering wing,
And ever o'er its babel sounds
The blessèd angels sing.
Yet with the woes of sin and strife
The world has suffered long;
Beneath the angel-strain have rolled
Two thousand years of wrong;
And man, at war with man, hears not
The love-song which they bring;
O hush the noise, ye men of strife,
And hear the angels sing.
For lo!, the days are hastening on,
By prophet bards foretold,
When with the ever-circling years
Comes round the age of gold
When peace shall over all the earth
Its ancient splendors fling,
And the whole world give back the song
Which now the angels sing.

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie.
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep, the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light.
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth!
And praises sing to God the King, and peace to men on earth.
How silently, how silently, the wond’rous gift is given.
So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His Heaven.
No ear may His coming but in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him still, the dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, descent to us, we pray.
Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels, the great glad tidings tell,
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord, Emanuel.

‘Twas a starry night of old, when rejoicing angels told
The poor shepherds of His birth, Son of God a child on earth.
Soft and quiet is the bed where I lay my little head.
Jesus had a manger bare, rugged straw for pillow fair.
And it was to win me grace that He entered that poor place.
Loving with a perfect love, Christ, the Son of God above.

Away in a Manger
01:32
|
|||
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky look down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradles till morning is night.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there.

Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o’er the plains.
And the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be, which inspire your heav’nly song?
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Come to Bethlehem and see Christ Whose birth the angels sing.
Come, adore on bended knee, Christ, the Lord, the newborn King.
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
See Him in a manger laid, Whom the choirs of angels praise.
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid, while our hearts in love we raise.
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ri-a, in excelsis Deo!

In the Bleak Midwinter
03:27
|
|||
In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan.
Earth stood still as iron, water like a stone.
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow.
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.
Our God, Heav’n cannot hold Him, nor earth sustain.
Heav’n and earth shall flee away when He comes to reign.
In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.
Enough for Him Whom cherubim worship night and day.
A breast full of milk and a manger full of hay.
Enough for Him Whom angels fall down before,
The ox and ass and camel which adore.
Angels and archangels may have gathered there.
Cherubim and seraphim thronged the air.
But only His mother, in her maiden bliss,
Worshipped the Beloved with a kiss.
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would give a lamb.
If I were a wise man, I would do my part.
Yet, what I can I give Him, give my heart.
Yet, what I can I give Him, give my heart.
