about

This is a very special song. I used a lyric written by one of my son's very best friends in the world, Shae Hagarty. Shae died a few years ago from a rare form of cancer. At his funeral someone read a poem he (Shae) had written. I was very touched by the words and asked Shae's family for permissino to set them to music. This is the result.

lyrics

Now I must search for a way to find rest
Through death or through love, whichever is best.
My angel has left me; my people are gone.
All I have left is this, my last song.

The shadows grow deep and my time here is near
And now I must go forth without fear
For my angel has left me; my people are gone.
And all I have left is this, my last song.
And all I have left is this, my last song.

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

The shadows grow deep and my time here is near
And now I must go forth without fear
For my angel has left me; my people are gone.
And all I have left is this, my last song.
And all I have left is this, my last song.
All I have left is this, my last song,
Is this, my last song.
